The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and optimization of inventory control operations. The key role of this position is to drive efficiency related to inventory control activities/project and reduce inventory discrepancies throughout the organization. Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained and evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs.
Essential Functions:
Develop key metrics and monitor performance of warehouses in terms of inventory accuracy.
Cross-functional collaboration and communication to quickly understand and resolve issues.
Establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the company accounting objectives.
Manage and coordinate the activities of all staff members engaged in inventory control record accuracy.
Develop, implement and maintain work instructions and process documentation.
Manage the process of organizing, and maintaining efficient material handling and storage, and maintaining multiple bin locations.
Maintain the cycle count records so that it can be reviewed by the management and also provide the reports related to cycle count activity.
Supervise and coordinate the appropriate processing of various purchase requisitions, receiving reports, purchase orders, inventory requisitions, etc.
Prepare reports of inventory balance and use ERP SYSTEMS and Sage 100 to perform the assigned work effectively.
Supervise and coordinate activities of the clerical support.

Required Education and/or Experience & Knowledge:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in business, management, logistics or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in inventory, distribution, WMS, manufacturing, shipping, and logistics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word, Power Point required.
Working knowledge of VMS mobile devices, Scanners, and barcode label printing.
Experience with inventory transfers for multi bin locations and multiple WHS.
Requires knowledge of inventory control of raw materials and supplies in a manufacturing environment, ability to recognize and report discrepancies, and ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
Forklift, or previous forklift certification preferred, and must be able to hold/pass forklift certification classes.
Database management skills: ERP software experience (Sage MAS 90, 100 OR Scanco WMS preferred) helpful to complete back flushing of finished goods and generating reports.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts and will work in a non-controlled climate environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Have full motion of both arms over head and shoulders.
Ability to use legs to walk and drive various forklift vehicles.
Ability to work in a non-controlled climate area.
Requires ability to walk short distances and stand for the duration of the work shift.
Ability to use both arms and hands to use tools 35% of the work shift (i.e., shovels, cutters, buckets).
Must have the ability to safely use a box cutter.
Must perform various duties while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (face mask, safety goggles, safety gloves, and back support).
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
