Job Description

We are looking for inventory specialists who bring unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position, and who have exceptional math and observation skills. Inventory specialists can expect to work closely with management, oversee multiple teams, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. Their other responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, price and cost reports, and doing weekly counts of all products.

Successful inventory specialists should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. Ideal candidates will have inventory experience as well as mid-level management experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Tracking inventory maintenance.

  • Controlling flows of equipment and supplies.

  • Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.

  • Coordinating and directing multiple teams.

  • Developing loss mitigation processes and protocols.

  • Training less experienced inventory workers.

  • Compiling inventory reports.

  • Addressing any problems, obstacles or challenges.

  • Forecasting future inventory requirements.

  • Proficient with Excel

  • Experience with SAP and EWM systems

  • Forklift

 

ESSENTIAL CORE COMPETENCIES

                    High school diploma or G.E.D.

                    Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

                    Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software.

                    At least 1-3 years working in WH relating to Inventory Management

                    Able to work weekends on occasion.

What does the interview process entail?

If you’ve applied online and been contacted for an interview, a Recruiter will then meet with you in person or virtually to review your job history, skill strengths, education and career goals to determine what type of clients and/or positions you’d be right for.

How long does the interview take?

Each interview is unique to the individual but can typically last 10-20 minutes. To facilitate the process of getting started, we ask that you please fill out the entire application online before coming in for your interview.

What happens after our interview?

After the entire interview process is complete, we actively search for positions that best suit your needs and skills. In addition, we recommend that you call your local branch weekly when you’re available for assignments.

How should I dress?

Your appearance will be critically important in your job search. First impressions are important when interviewing in our office, virtually or at the client site. Dress requirements for each assignment will be addressed with you prior to your start date and will typically mirror the company’s dress code policy. To this effect, your Recruiter will define what appropriate means in advance of any job.

Am I allowed to work with other employment agencies as well?

You do not need to work exclusively with Newegg Staffing while you are signed on with us. However, we do ask that you keep us posted whenever you’re available so that we can keep you working continuously.
